Thai massage is often described as having someone “perform yoga” on you. It’s general rhythmic pressure on the body offering specific stretches and assists offering the body release, greater range of motion, and overall feeling more balanced
The basis of Thai massage lies in the theory of energy lines running throughout the body—similar to other Eastern Medicine traditions. The effective flow of energy along these lines is seen as a major contributor to better health.
This type of body work is effective on ALL bodies. Anyone can learn the methods of this therapeutic modality.
Great for beginners and non movement enthusiasts. This is a partner workshop where we will learn a 30 minute sequence that both participants will experience as both giver and receiver.
Please bring 2 blankets and a pillow from home. If you have a yoga mat bring it. We have some at Tufas already. We will be using these props for neck, back and knee support.
Wear comfortable warm clothing. Bring a partner who you can both learn and relax with.
