Casey grew up in the south of the country as well as the north. Her family moved frequently. The perfect combination for Casey to not obtain the southern accent. Although Casey was introduced to climbing particularly late in the game, she immediately found comfort in the non-competitiveness and the welcoming community within the sport. She spent her early twenties living in California and fully embracing outdoor climbing. When Casey relocated to the island of Kauai she traded in her climbing shoes for a surfboard. Not a bad switch. Although fast forward a few years and Casey found her way back in Philadelphia with climbing shoes in hand. You may see Casey around Tufas with a pack of kids following behind her. Casey co-leads the Youth Climbing Program with colleague, Basil Swad.
