Bouldering 101

Bouldering Progressions are suspended as of Friday, March 13th until further notice.
Because of how difficult it is to be meticulous about hygiene, we want to reduce the risk and slow the potential spread of COVID-19 by taking a break from our Bouldering Progression classes. The most responsible thing we can do for our communities right now is take preventive action to slow the spread of Coronavirus so that our medical professionals aren’t overwhelmed. Please know that we take your and our communities’ health seriously and we hope that being (perhaps overly) cautious may help with managing the many unknowns we’re now facing. We will continue to evaluate options as more information becomes available, with our community’s health in mind.
If you are not a member and paid for this Bouldering Progression, Tufas will put your remaining balances for this 4-week Progression towards your future classes, whenever they resume. Please email if you have any questions about this.

Bouldering Progression 101

This 4-week progression is designed to give new climbers the fundamentals to go from “Well, I don’t really climb” to “Yeah, I’m a rock climber.” We will develop a consistent warm-up practice, learn fundamental climbing techniques, and hone our focus and intention. While anyone is welcome to join, this introductory course was developed especially for beginners who want to take their climbing to the next level. Intro to Bouldering is a great precursor to taking this 4-week progressive, but not a prerequisite.

Haven’t bouldered before and don’t know the basics? Enroll in our Intro To Bouldering classes offered every Wednesday 7 pm – 8 pm and Sunday 11 am – 12 pm.

It is recommended that you take our Intro to Bouldering class before Bouldering 101 as it will go over all the basics.
